OTHER FAMILY SUPPORT
Kids' Resource Network of Colorado Springs takes great pride in all the programs offered. We are aware that if we do not take care of our providers that we will no longer have the strong and solid program that we are so proud of. This is why we offer a number of support services some of these include:
- Family preservation
- Front range foster parent affiliation
- Supervised and therapeutic visitations
- Monthly support meetings/trainings
- 24/7 pager assistance
- Respite services
- Adoptive services
- Ongoing trainings (CPR, First Aid, Core, Parenting, to name just a few)
- On-site therapist
- Access to the Care and Share Food Bank
- Home Studies
- Ongoing newsletters
- Recreation activities
- On-site training
- Monthly Home Visits (minimally)
- Tax Exempt Reimbursements
- Clothing and Toy Bank
KRNCS conducts home studies, for their own families, those utilized in ICPC's (Interstate Compact) as well as studies needed by an outside source to assist in a placement or licensure process. Within the home study process, KRNCS also conducts background checks and home inspections as required by state regulations. The home study also gives recommendations as to the strengths the family has to offer, and if pertinent specific recommendations.
